Mike Tripp is the heart behind I Met UR Dog—a lifelong animal lover and underwater photographer turned devoted dog-care provider. After years exploring the underwater world, Mike has found equal joy above the surface, connecting with dogs through patience, empathy, and adventure. With his loyal golden retriever, Finn, by his side, he creates unforgettable experiences for pups—whether it’s a nature walk, daycare, an overnight stay, or a heartfelt photo session. Mike’s mission is simple: make every dog feel safe, happy, and deeply loved.

Mike the Dog Whisperer  

We first met Mike two years ago when he captured a beautiful photo of our dog Ben and posted a cute write up of the encounter on his Instagram! If you see a guy at the dog park off in the distance surrounded by dogs, it’s Mike! We often witness dogs, not currently in his care, see Mike and run intensely to him, not because treats are involved, just for the pure love they have for Mike. It’s truly a beautiful thing to witness. Dog care is not a job for Mike, it’s a calling. He connects to each dog he’s around through love and compassion and has legitimately earned the title of Mike the Dog Whisperer.
